ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Hailed for her "superb" and "spot-on" orchestral playing (Le Devoir; Musical Toronto), Phoebe Robertson is a student of Lorna McGhee, Principal Flute of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The winner of the National Arts Centre Orchestra Bursary Competition (2015), she has appeared as a soloist with this ensemble, and has presented solo recitals throughout Central and Eastern Canada. Phoebe received the Award for Excellence in Flute from the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, with which she completed a nationwide tour in the summer of 2017 as a rotating principal flutist. Prior to pursuing a Master of Music degree at Carnegie Mellon University, she earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of Ottawa under the guidance of Camille Churchfield.
